The nation of Uqbar is populated by 13,983,820 Uqbarians. We are a smaller country located off the coast of France with many sentimental values. Our national anthem is Waving flag by K'NAAN. This song connects to our country because, since our motto is "Toujours gentil," the song is about being kind and growing and we are always trying to be kind and as a country we are only getting stronger. We are trying to decrease the amount of poverty in our country and this song is also about getting through poverty and pushing yourself to be stronger then before. We are a smaller country and will continue to grow as the song suggests. There is always strength in unity and this song is also all about unity and being together.

The government is a Democracy with loyalty to Mashoiqua. Every five years we elect a new president but as soon as the majority of people who don't want the ruler to stay in power, there is a re-election and a new voting process begins. The government has control over the military and in making the laws, but the citizens also have a lot of power if they think that the person in power at the time isn't doing their job.

Peacekeeping |
There will be a bin outside every city hall for people to anonymously write what could be better and what each city could improve. There is also a form on this website (under feedback) people can visit to write their comments but the comments won't be posted for the public to see. We take public matters very seriously and will take matters into our own hands if there are any serious issues.

Peace and order is very important to our country and we intend to keep it by having a strict judicial system and the public voting on punishment. We are also involved with NATO and the UN. Uqbar also has a large military force to ensure our safety of our citizens and our allies. We are a strong and united country and will always have our citizen's safety as our number one priority.

How to join the country
You have to pass a citizen test where the questions will ask you about national holidays and you will have to either draw the national flag or pick it out of many other country's flags. Also, you will have to apply for citizenship after living within our borders for 3 years. Our exports include lumber, wool, freshwater and coal. We are allied with the UK, France, Spain, and Germany. Our healthcare is completely free and we have a very low amount of homeless people out on the streets. We are proud to say we have more then 5,000 homeless shelters in Uqbar. We continue to grow our initiatives to decrease the amount of people living in poverty with aid from around the world (places like the UK, United states and Canada).
